document not registered

I appreciate it a lot if ayone could help me solving the following problem
only the last two days everytime I open a document with word I get the message cannot open document is not registered. I click ok and can't Word doesn't work properly for instance I can't copy and paste.
I need your help, I am so frustrated and I use Word a lot.
