Document Not registered

We have many users on OS Windows 2000, and Office XP SP -
1 that are getting the same errors on opening Word, Excel
and Access. The error states: "This document could not be
registered. It will not be possible to create links from
other documents to this document"

We are concerned it is part of Blaster? Help needed asap.

Margaret,
We searched for the msblast.exe in the C:/Windows32 folder
but cannot find it on the machines with the problems
described below. Could this be another strain of the
blaster worm? I couldn't find any details in the article
you referred me to on our error message either.
