Document Protection

I have a document that was protected by a former employee.

I do not have the password. Is there any way to turn off
the document protection or do I have to redo the whole
document over?

Cutting and pasting does not work.

You might be able to open Word to a blank document, click "Insert", "File",
browse and select your protected form. If it was protected as a "Form", it
should come in unprotected.

Ask your IT dept if they have a utility for cracking Office passwords. You
can find several on the net, but many companies are very touchy about
employees using these unsupervised, so I'd check with them first.
