document recovery

My son created a document in publisher and then the program locked and he
cancelled it via task manager. I restarted publisher and the document came up
recovered but when he tried to save it the program locked again and had to be
cancelled again via task manager. When starting publisher again the recovered
document was not available again and despite checking help I could not find
the recovered document. Any ideas please

Publisher may have created a temporary file. In Windows Explorer, type %temp% in
the address bar, look for files with pub as a prefix, rename the .tmp to .pub.
More times than not when a Publisher document goes corrupt it will be an image
that is causing the problem.
