In fact, what I said was from memory and not quite right. It wasn't the
sub-websites but the Websites that mattered.

The key to the below article is in step 2 where it instructs you to
"right-click" on the Microsoft SharePoint Administration Web sit, **or any
other page that is experiencing the issue**..." My system has four sites
that come up in IIS administration: Default Web Site, Administration Web
Site, Microsoft SharePoint Search Proxy, and Microsoft SharePoint
Administration" I did the fix (of adding the idq.dll) on the MS SPA site.
I think what solved it for me was doing the same fix to the Microsoft
SharePoint Search Proxy site. Just make sure that you follow the
instructions for each website on your server and you should be good to go.
