Documents slow to open

I use W2k and MSOffice 2002; same setup for over a year now. Lately office
documents take a long time to load, sometimes 15 to 20 seconds, and these
are just simple word and xl docs. I noticed this about two weeks ago. I
had done two things; installed a java script program to print mailing labels
from the US post office Quick Click web site, and upgraded RealOne player to
version 2. I uninstalled both of these, and ran the Office repair from the
install disk, but niether of these helped. Any ideas?

Hi David,

About two weeks ago the certificate for Norton AV expired so the first
item to rule out is Norton AV. In Norton go to Options and in the
Miscellaneous section turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".

Ignore the pervious post - your fix did work; I had to re-boot before the
change became noticeable. Thanks for the help...rdm
