Documents Will Not Open

A user has word documents on G:. She was able to access them yesterday and
they are listed in her recent documents in Word XP. When she tries to
access it via the file menu, she gets a Word error "The file Document.rtf is
not available" where document.rtf is the actual file name. When she tries
to use File>Open and navigates to the file, she gets the same error. When
she closes Word and navigates to the file with explorer and double-clicks
it, she gets a file not found error.

Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.
