Documents with Graphics loads with errors

We have Office 97.

When opening documents with simple graphics, company logo
at top, it says converting and just list characters for
the graphic or graph.

However, if the document is list in the drop down list it
comes up fine. All other machines do not get this problem.

I have removed and reinstalled Office on this box.

Any help will be appreciated.

Go to File, Open dialog and change the File Types back to Word Documents
from the Recover Text from Any File option.
