All,
Heres an interesting question. In Access 2003 Proffessional. When you run an
update query using values in a 2nd table linked in the query view. Is access
actually updating all the values.
I am running an update query in access to update the values in a linked
MySQL table. I have used the latest version of the MySQL ODBC connector in
order to link the table.
However when my query runs the 1st time it all runs fine. However if i run
the same query again all records it updated the 1st time are now reported as
having a record lock violation.
If i was to run the query 2 times again but this time use completely
different update values each time no record has a lock violation.
If anyone knows whether this is a real clever behaviour of access i would be
interested to know. Or if you are aware of any bugs like this that are in the
MySQL ODBC Connector v3.51.11 that is installed on this machine.
Many thanks for the assistance
Craig.
