Does anyone else miss the office assistant?

Help an author out here. All day long, I type and type and type and there is
no more purring, meowing, scratching or sleeping. The little guy often
reminded me to get up every now and again. Bring the assistant back! You can
take my operating ssystem, but you cannot take my feline (Ok, so maybe
Braveheart was a little over the top)

Unfortunately, my three live ones are no longer with me thanks to the
reprehensible monsters involved in the pet-food poisoning. I agree nothing
takes the palce of a real critter, but the vrtual one helped fill the gaps.
Thanks for the suggestion.

How awful for you! What a terrible loss. I know how hard it is to lose one
from illness - even with old age you are never prepared for the empty spot.

Visit your local SPCA. believe me, a fuzzy, purring feline who
tries to help you type is a much better companion that a cartoon.

There are those who don't like cats:

there's gonna be NO cats is his yard!

I think I'll pass on that video. I have a feeling it would NOT
make me happy.

Mistake, you'll absolutely LOVE it! No cats were harmed in the video
although their dignity suffered a bit....

Hi Tess,

Sorry to hear about your loss. What version of Windows and what versions of Office do you have installed and/or have the CDs for?
While they're no longer tied to the help system in Office 2007, so you may not get the reminders, there can be other ways to make
them available on the desktop at least in Windows XP.

If you miss a feline friend on your PC, look on the 'net for Felix.exe.

Doesn't purr, but he wanders around and comes and goes.
