Any idea would be appreciated.
DatabaseBen said:i think that equations are best handled by excel that
the can be inserted into word or other module for presentation,
that is if excel is sufficient for creating a presentation or paper.
DatabaseBen said:oh,
the equation editor is a small addition and
is limited as being an object / pic with no
fancy formatting features other than
what a right click on the object would
provide you.
You could take that object and format it in a graphics
software or buy a fancy upgrade for equation
editing, as you wouldn't be the first to require
these helpful formatting features.
have you spoken to your professor about
better equation editors...?
Bob Buckland ?:-) said:Hi Elliott,
Prior to Word 2007 there aren't too many easy choices for Equation Editor
3.0 color changes in Word. You can add a border or a
colored background or highlight, but the color stays black.
As an option, when finalizing your document (save a copy of the file under
a different name) you can copy the equation object object
into a Powerpoint slide and then use the Powerpoint Picture toolbar's
'recolor' choice to change the color of the Equation object,
then copy it back to Word, but paste it as an Enhanced Metafile (picture)
[you won't be able to reedit it].
Alternatively you can upgrade the MS provided Equation Editor to the more
fully featured 'Math Type' version from Design Sciences at
http://dessci.com or you can use, instead of the MS Equation Editor you
can use the Word "EQ" (equation) field (Insert=>Field).
Equations created with the field method can be colored as regular text,
but there is a bit of a learning curve to getting this to
work if you have sophisticated equations. In Word Help search on
field equation
to get started.
============I think there should be some misunderstandings. What I mean was that I
would
like to change the font colour of a equation text editing by equation
editor
in Word. >>
