Does Anyone Know How To...

S

Steve

I want to take 2 Excel 2002 files. One has 3000 entries,
the other has 750. I want to take the one with 750,
compare it to the one with 3000 and remove the 750
duplicates from the list with 300 (giving me 2250)

Is there an easy way to do it rather than manually
deleting 750 duplicate entries?

PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks so much for the link, but don't bail on me yet :)

I've read that, but it seems to apply to when you have 2
lists in the same file. My lists are on 2 separate Excel
files.

I have 1 file with 3000 entries and another file with
750. This doesn't appear to work for separate files, only
separate lists within the same file.

Can anyone verify?

It doesn't matter unless you plan to open only one file, in that case
you need to change the formula to sumproduct
