Hi,

I have read few questions about this version not supporting VB but I'm not sure that it also means you can't create macro through this application. I happened to refer to this forum after i tried the usual path of Tool>Macro where the dialogue box suggested that I could run a given macro if there was any but it didn't offer me any option to create one, not even inactive one. Am I looking in wrong direction?

Office 2008 does not support VBA macros. Period! You can not create or
record them, or use ones written in an earlier version.

However, Excel 2008 does indeed fully support creating, editing, and running
macros in the "old" XLM macro language. XLM macros can NOT be recorded. What
you are seeing is the interface to run or edit XLM macros.
