does Google "queue" outbound emails

Two users are having the same problem. One is in cache mode and the other is
in online mode. Outlook 2003 with sp2. Randomly sent emails are hung in the
Outbox, just like delayed emails. But never sent. The only common thing I
can find is that both are running Google desktop. Has anyone seen such
problem? If so, any fix? Both love to have Google desktop.

Thanks.

Assuming that the messages are being sent via Exchange, and not via SMTP.

First, try starting Outlook in Safe mode (exit out of the application completely,
then Start-Run-Outlook /safe) and see if you can still reproduce the problem.

If you can't, start looking at Outlook add-ins to disable.

If you can still reproduce the problem, try uninstalling Google Desktop,
as a test. It might effect Exchange communications, I wouldn't have thought
it would, but anything could happen.

If it is easily reproducible, I would also see if they can reproduce it using
OWA. If they can, it's an Exchange issue, not Outlook. If they can't, see
if you can't have them try a different machine, just to verify.

the queued emails in Outbox showed italic icon with 4 lines in the front.
Just like you sent an email with delayed delivery option. Of course, when
you opened the queued email it doesn't show the delayed option was selected.
It happens randomly so very hard to reproduce. It seems to me that most
queued emails are with attachments, any format - pdf, word and excel. Do you
know if Google desktop index emails while sending?

They aren't queued but desktop could be interfering. Do the messages change
to 'read' messages?

I believe it does index all the folders, including the outbox.
