Does Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition expire after two years?

No. The license remains valid as long as you meet
the qualifications as a student or teacher.

Thanks Carey. I work in the software department of a big electronics
store. A couple of the other employees said this to customers; I can
only guess so that they would buy a more expensive version rather than
Student and Teacher. I'm not sure what I should do now. Wow. I never
thought that I would be defending Bill Gates.

The biggest problem with the STE is that you can't use it as a basis for an
upgrade. In the long run, it may be cheaper to buy full retail.
