Does MS have a Project Roadmap template?

I'm looking for a template or guide that will help me create or generate a
Project Roadmap which I'm told is different from the Project Plan.

Project roadmaps are quite unique creatures. Personally, I have not seen one
out here in cyberspace that would be a good template.

Project Roadmaps from my point of view are more like "product" roadmaps.
For example, a Product Roadmap for a software product such as Microsoft
Project might include general time periods Development ,Deployment, Service
Packs, continued support, paid support, and phase out. I might expect to see
how these overlap with legacy verions of the product (say Project 95, 98,
2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, P14) and their server counterparts.

I have done these types of things before in both Visio and PowerPoint
because they tend to be more executive level eye candy than nitty gritty.

As you can see, a project roadmap for something like Microsoft Project would
be quite different than a project roadmap for the expansion of an outpatient
wing as an add on to a hospital.

I would be thinking "executive vision level" for your roadmap and perhaps
looking at more of an artistic presenation than something linked together in
MS Project.

Jim,

Thanks for your input it was very helpful. I was thinking along those
lines, but was tasked with creating the "creature" as I described in my
original question.

But now that I have more info I can go and make a counter offer and argument
and create something like you described.
