Hi David,
Each of the individual Office 2007 beta apps may have variations in the minor numeric version group in its .exe files. You can
check the properties of the shared core of MS Office editions, MSO.DLL for version. 12.0.4017.xxxx would be beta 2.
If an additional update is released for preview on the website I'm guessing that, going by the example for Beta 2, the MS marketing
folks will pretty much make sure that 'the word' that it's out will get around quickly
You can also use the 'get Updates' link from any of the Office 2007 beta 2 apps, just in case, if Microsoft elects to make changes
via that method.

Thanks. And I take it there is no way of knowing what subversion of the beta
they are on? (Mine currently says 12.0.4017.1006) And do I just go back to
the download page (i.e.
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/download/en/default.mspx)
Or do I just have to wait for "Beta 3" - if they release it to the public?
Thanks
