Does Office 2000 run in Windows XP?

I've been trying to install Office 2000 on both of my machines(one has XP and
one has 95)but it won't go.Any ideas?

Office 2k should install. Are you installing it logged on to an
Administrator privilege account? What error does it give? Details are
important.
