Does Office XP work with Outlook 2007?

We are upgrading to Office 2007 in the fall but want to do it in increments
-- GroupWise to Outlook (major change) and then from Office 2002 to Office
2007. I think that as long as we don't use Word as an emailer Outlook will
work.

Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated. Thanks for you help in
advance.

You should be able to install Outlook 2007 in an Office 2002 environment,
but you'll lose the integration between Outlook and the rest of Office. No
mail merge, for example.

Unlike other components within Office, you can have only one version of
Outlook installed. So when you install Office 2007, you will have to do
a custom install to Deselect Outlook from the installation.

Clearly I got your question backward, but nonetheless the answer remains the
same, as VanguardLH points out.
