does powerpoint have automatic backup of files?

DD is working on a Powerpoint presentation for school. Computer just locked
up. She of course did not save it yet, and is almost finished. AGH Does
Powerpoint have an automatic save feature? Please tell me YES and please tell
me where to retrieve that backup file. Thanks!

when you re-start powerpoint - if it did automatically 'recover' any files
it will tell you.

there is a slim chance that a .tmp file, sitting in a temp folder, is the
very same powerpoint file.
