Does renaming the cube break views?

We are running MSP2002 and recently started getting a cube
unavailable message for all the views. I created a new
view and it works just fine. I'm guessing that an
administrator accidently renamed the cube when adjusting
some date ranges. I re-entered the old cube name and
rebuilt the cube but the old views still don't work. Is
there any place I can lock the name? I must now re-create
the views and I don't want to have to do it again.

Are you certain that you typed the name exactly as it was? Restoring the
cube with the correct name should fix the problem.
