Does Word do a search for a specific word in a document?

I have a document that I need to delete a specific word that is mentioned
many times, does word do a search for a specific word and highlights them?

Microsoft Word will delete all occurrences of a given word, but may not do
so in exactly the manner you want -- you should ask how in a newsgroup
devoted to Word.

This newsgroup is for Q&A about Microsoft Access database software. It is
