Doesn't print page numbers

Hi,

I have a word doc with page numbers in the footer. This footer is not overly near the very edge of the page, but still the page numbers are not printing out.

Each time I click print it says some things may be outside the margins of print but this has never effected my printer before when I used to use it on XP rather than OSX.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hello Joe,

Go to Format menu => Document and increase the bottom margin a little, say
to 1.5 cm. Printer margin settings are somewhat idiosyncratic.

If that doesn't fix it: have you inserted the page number via a text box?
It's better not to: see "Page numbers in headers and footers" on page 60 of
some notes on the way I use Word for the Mac, titled "Bend Word to Your
Will", which are available as a free download from the Word MVPs' website
(http://word.mvps.org/Mac/Bend/BendWordToYourWill.html).

[Note: "Bend Word to your will" is designed to be used electronically and
most subjects are self-contained dictionary-style entries. If you decide to
read more widely than the item I've referred to, it's important to read the
front end of the document -- especially pages 3 and 5 -- so you can select
some Word settings that will allow you to use the document effectively.]
