Domain Authentication

I have multiple project webs. Last Thursday something
happened to one of the webs and the domain authentication
is not utilizing the users cached logon information. From
PWA instead of authenticating as it should the login
screen appears and if we click to the left on logon using
a differnet microsoft windows user account then the
authentication proceeds. In addition when i attempt to
access site administration through PWA that site tells me
the site service is not available. Can anyone tell me how
to get my mixed authentication to work and site
administration healthy?
