DoNot Print selected cell

I used conditional formating to not print an area
formula is =$B$9:$C$9="1"
also used =$B$9:$C$9="x"
font and pattern formats are set to white.

I do not want to print cells B9 and C9

what problem did you exactly have following the instructions on both
sites?

Cells would still print. These two cells are checked hidden in
formating.

"Hidden" in Format>Cells>Protection means the cell's contents are hidden in
the formula bar, not in the cell.

Thanks. Read, reread, read again now I comprehend.

Will have to look into this more because the conditional formating
formats in white as not to show on printed page but also cannot see
cell contents when working on the sheet.

B9 will be constant, C9 will vary with a number between 1 - 700.

I want the user to see these cells to work on the sheet but I don't
want the cells to print.

A button and macro sounds like the way to go at this time.
