don't want PivotChart to graph every data point

I have a PivotChart that is producing a running total line graph for cancellations 60 months from start of service for different years. However, obviously for service started in, say, 2011, the line will turn horizontal well before the 60 months end because we aren't even close to having all the data yet for 60 months past 2011! I want to stop the line at, say, for 2011, 22 months (since its the end of October now in 2012). I can't do this in a PivotChart can I? Every time I click note 2009 line or any line it will let me edit the series formula but it reverts back to including everything as soon as I hit enter. Any ideas ? I guess a lame way to do this Would be to try to manually color the lines as blank or just don't use a PivotChart .. Ugh
