dots dots.....those crazy dots

When I hit the space bar in word 2002 an anoying little
dot appears. how do i turn this feature off. its
driving me crazy.

Click on the Show/Hide ¶ button on the toolbar.

I did that and it dosent work. the dots still come up

On the Tools menu, click Options
Click the View tab
Make sure the Spaces check box is unchecked/cleared
Click OK

Now when you toggle off the Show/Hide ¶ button on the toolbar you will not
see the dots, which represent spaces.
