Double Login to Project Professional

Most of our Project Managers have complained that when they log on (or a
force logged on) to Project Professional, the first logon usually fails.
They have to hit cancel and log on again. It appears that the logon works
the second time.

There is a rumor floating around that this is a contention issue with McAfee.

Can anyone provide some information or a solution ?

I asked for help on the very same issue last month. I was told by a
Microsoft Engineer that new versions of McAfee cause this problem. I have
version 7.1 on my laptop and I don't see this problem. I have 8.x on several
desktops that users have reported this problem on.

There was no fix available when I received the reply.
