Outlook version?
E-mail account type (POP, IMAP, HTTP, Exchange)?
Used the webmail interface to ensure they aren't doubled in the mailbox?
Is the "leave messages on server" enabled for a POP account?
If an IMAP account, did you specify the root folder?
Tried disabling the e-mail scan feature in your anti-virus software?
Usually you get one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
