My Outlook file is deep within a path that has a doubling
of Microsoft\Outlook in its name. The location of my
Outlook file is C:\Documents and Settings\myname\Local
Settings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook\Microsoft\
Outlook, i.e., there is a repeated Microsoft\Outlook. Its
icon does not have the multicolor jigsaw puzzle icon.
My Outlook backup, an office data file created by the
outlook backup utility available as a download from
Microsoft, is where it should be, in C:\Documents and
Settings\my name\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. It too does not have the
multicolor jigsaw puzzle icon.
Should the Outlook file be moved to where it belongs,
higher in the path to where backup is, and if so, how
would this be done? What should be done about the
doubling in the path name?
Why do they not have the familiar multicolor jigsaw
puzzle icon?
Thanks for the help. John
