double-sided tags with layout/data differing from front to back

I want to print a sheet of paper that prints information for 4 records in
each of the four quadrants of the paper. It should look like this

1A|3A
______
2A|4A
on the first page and this

1B|3B
______
2B|4B

on the second page. Where A is one layout and B is another layout and 1
refers to data about record 1, 2 referes to data about record 2.

I can format my data so it feeds like this
1, 2, 3,4, 1,2,3,4, 5,6,7,8,5,6,7,8 etc.

I just don't know how to get Publisher 2003 to print one layout A on one
page and layout B on the second. I have a duplex printer and don't want to
tell the users print the document once, ,reload , select another merge and
print again.

I simply don't think you can do this within Publisher if you are unwilling to
use two different publications.
One problem is on side #1 you have
1A|2A
3A|4A

In order to have side #2 to line up correctly the data would have to be
2B|1B
4B|3B

In other words, whatever is on the right on the front, will be on the left on
the back. You will need two different databases.

I can build out the data so that it reads :
1, 2, 3, 4, 2, 1, 4 , 3. That's easy.
but is it possible to do this?
Side one
1A|2A
3A|4A
and on side two
2B|1B
4B|3B

Where A is one layout and B is another layout and 1
refers to data about record 1, 2 referes to data about record 2.

Again my problem is, I just don't know how to get Publisher 2003 to print
one layout A on one page and layout B on the second. I have a duplex printer
and don't want to tell the users print the document once, reload, select
another merge and
print again.

It was easy. I suppose if I had spent more time with Publisher Imight not
have posted. Here's how to do it:
Choose the postcard template
Add a second page.
Design the first page to be what you want to see on the front side.
Design page 2 to be what you want to be on the back side.
Add a mail merge. Your records should be formattted as 1, 2, 3,4,5,6,7 ,8
etc.
Add mail merge fields to your postcard.
set properties of your printer in page setup to print double-sided
choose print merge, in copies per sheet select print multiple copies per sheet
print document
