Dowloads defaulting to trial version of Office

I have a new computer and it came with a trial version of Microsoft Office
2003, which I have not activated. I purchased Microsoft Office XP and
currently use this version. However, when I try to download a template from
the Microsoft website, it defaults to the unregistered version (2003), and I
cannot get the template to load onto my XP version.

Any suggestions?

Uninstall the trial version and Office XP. Reinstall XP.
