Downgrade office from 2007 to 2003

I have a customer that just bought all new pc's with office 2007 basic(Oem, i
think), from dell. The office word and excel are not compatable with thier
customer db program(goldmine).
Is it possible to downgrade this to 2003? They do not have disks for 2003 or
previous installs.
What are my options?

Thanks.

Office 2007 Basic is an OEM version. According to
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...9d-4996-b198-7b9d3fe15611/downgrade_chart.doc
:

[OEM Licensing] Rights to OEM versions of applications software are
granted in the OEM License Terms. The OEM License Terms for OEM
versions of applications software do not grant downgrade rights.

[Volume Licensing] Customers who have licensed Microsoft Office
Professional Plus 2007 are eligible to downgrade to Office Professional
Enterprise 2003 and all previous versions as described above. Customers
who have licensed Microsoft Office Standard 2007 are eligible to
downgrade to Office Standard Edition 2003 and all previous versions of
Office Standard Edition.

Which is the long way of saying that if you have the OEM or retail
version of Office 2007 Pro, the only way to downgrade to 2003 is to
buy 2003. Sorry.

When they purchased the computer and software, they should have stressed the
fact that they needed 2003.
