I know some PMs, such as myself, come up with their own "home grown" tools
for analyzing data from MS Project (i.e. other MS products that interface to
MS Project to perform analysis that MS Project can't do or I just don't know
now to make MS Project do).
If so, where would it be? If not, is this something that would be
interested for others?
The reason I ask is that as a consultant PM, I am sent to client sites with
only the basic MS applications (i.e. Project, Excel, ACCESS, etc) as my tools
and I am supposed to "wow" the client. However, in working with large and
complicated projects, especially when the clients are not used to project
structure, I need to develop tools and processes to move the project along.
It would be GREAT if there was a location where PMs can share their ideas,
tools, tips, tricks, ectc.
Thank you.
