When first opening a document I accidentally clicked on
Word Pad instead of Microsoft Word. Now it opens all
documents using word pad. It must be in some sort of other
language, how do I change this? Thanks!

Right-click on a document, choose Open With, select Microsoft Word, and
check the box for "Always use this program..."

Alternatively, reregister Word by typing

winword /r

at the Start | Run prompt. Note that there is a space before the forward
slash.
