download Xp Sp3 problems

I cannot download this update. although the auto up date keeps asking me to
down load this. when I do the file "Proplus MST" cannot be found on my
system. I bought my computer from Pc world in England and do not have any
start up discs. The system was already pre-loaded on the hard drive when I
bought it.
Can you help my computer to accept this update Xp Sp3 or stop the 'automatic
update software from saying that my system needs this update.

Much obliged

It's looking for proplus.msi which is located on the Microsoft Office XP
Professional with FrontPage Edition

Hide Windows Update
To hide an update, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click either Windows Update
or Microsoft Update.
2. Click Custom.
3. Click to clear the check box that is next to the update that you want to
hide.
4. Expand the update that you want to hide, and then click the "Don't show
this update again" check box.
5. Click Review and install updates.

The subject update if already downloaded can be located in the
softwaredistribution\downloads folder if you wish to delete the same.

Remove WU downloads from the temporary folder:-

Stop the Automatic Updates service

Click Start, Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Stop.
Stopping the service will take a moment.

Delete the contents of the Download folder
Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
Click OK.
Open the Download folder.
Delete all contents of the Download folder.
Close the window.

Start the Automatic Updates service
Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Start.
Starting the service will take a moment.

By deleting the contents of the Download folder - you have removed any
downloaded updates.

BTW the newsgroups which are frequently monitored by MS etc are located
