downloaded powerpoint presentations

how do i get downloaded powerpoint templates to appear in the available for
use list?

Thank you for that advice and clarification, Sonia.
And great website too. You are an interesting lady!

The answer doesn't help though. I have downloaded some .pot files from the
web, which are then included in the same template folder as the main office
one, as well as the sub-folders created as per your advice, in the template
folder.

However, even though they can be acessed using the "browse" option at the
very bottom of the Slide Design (Task Bar) they do not appear within the
Apply a design template section (thumnails) of the Task Bar.

Do you or anyone know why not?

From my experience, they won't show up in the thumbnails until you have used
them. They will first show up in the recently used and then in the main part
of the task pane. If you have used them and they aren't showing, make sure
you are scrolling clear to the bottom of the list - they go at the bottom at
first.
