After downloading templates (Check Register, Personal Accounts, etc), making
entries in these downloaded templates, and then saving them, I cannot recover
them in ANY of my Documents. Where are they?

Are these Microsoft Access database templates? If so, they are NOT
documents: a document is one type of computer file, a database is
quite a different one. Look for files with a .mdb extension and open
them in Access. Note: opening a .mdb file in Word will irrevokably
destroy it. Don't.

Sorry. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It
appears your question is not related to that database. You are much
more likely to find someone with the answer if you post your question
to a newsgroup devoted to your subject.

I dunno, Joseph. They sound like probable Access templates to me.

Let me thank the three of you for responding. I'm still not quite sure how
to accomplish this, but I'm going to look at .mdb, dot, doc, and further info
that might be available on Access.

Thanks very much!
