Downloaded upgrades

I downloaded and installed. Microsoft Office v. X 10.1.2 Update afterwhich
Word would not launch. Each time I would get the message Unexpectedly quit
message. I ran permissions, nothing. I loaded Word and Office sections to
another part of the disk and word worked find there. Any way I can get word
back with the rest of office?

Hi Frank,

Try repairing disk permissions (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) and
then *log out and back in again*.

I have repaired them several times. Trashed normal, renamed normal, trashed
something called word settings(9) - Oddly enough mine was a (10). I did log
off, then got off. Nothing. A letter may be going to Bill Gates via
Appleworks!
