My Outlook is downloading all recent messages repeatedly. It appears to get
an error part way through, then when I try again it starts all over. For
example, now there are about 150 messages. Everytime I download it starts all
over, so the oldest messages in the queue are being downloaded many, many
times.
In the past, if it gets through the list once, if finally goes back to
normal for a while. But now it happens even if it gets through all 150+
messages.
Possibly this is related. I now have several messages showing only as
headers in Outlook, but the messages are no longer on the server. Outlook
will not let me delete the headers so the program tries to download them from
the server every time. And I always get an error message after trying. And
this might be why it will not reset the queue.
This is a POP account. This problem does not happen on my Entourage on my
Mac, just Outlook on my wife's PC. This is now a huge problem. I hope someone
can help!
