Downloading news messages for offline viewing in Outlook Express

I am new to reading news in Outlook Express. It is a new experince for
me, who, only have used Google Groups. I like reading using a news
client. I want to know if there is any way to download all the message
with the bodies and respective replies to my machine via OE, instead
of connecting each time for fetching the message. (Using OE 6.*,
Windows XP SP3)

Or do you have any suggestion, for any better newsreader for reading
newsgroups (only text functionalities, no need for any binary support)
which is a bit good on eyes (Good UI)

Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
