Downloading of Mail Times Out

Certain pieces of email -- including one from myself -- hang the
downloading of email.

This occurs since these happened:

Internet Service Provider (email.uc.edu) changed servers
I installed ZoneAlarm Basic
I installed PestControl

I use Windows 2000.

I can go to the ISP server with Webmail Direct -- by Mirapoint -- and
move the offending piece to another folder.

Then Outlook Express v6.0 works fine.

Using Webmail Direct, I can forward the offending mail to myself and
Outlook Express accepts the mail now that it is forwarded.

I tried:

Removing PestControl
Removing ZoneAlarm Basic

The ISP look at the offending emails -- they said it wasn't a Server
Problem
