Just because you have Office, doesn't mean you have PowerPoint.

Is this a recent problem? Have you made any other changes to your system
recently?

This is the error I get: <Command Line Option Syntax error, Type Command/?
for Help.>

Okay, what part of this error message leads you to believe that
"download doesn't find expected file" or "Powerpoint cannot be
found"?

R

Renee

It's because it happens every time I try to open a PowerPoint attachment from
my email. If I save the attachment and then open the PowerPoint program and
open directly the attachment, it works.

Are you using "web-mail" of some sort? Files will have to be downloaded
properly to open them.

R

Renee

I am using Microsoft Outlook that was installed at the same time I installed
Office 2000.

Are you connecting to an exchange server, or is your mail coming through
ISP? If ISP the file needs to be transferred to your PC before it will
open. If you have a full temporary internet files cache that can cause
problems. Clear the temporary internet file folder and try that.
