When i download a powerpoint presentation from internet or another computer
symbols in equations have changed. How can i reconfigurethis to work how it
should?

The best method to absolutely ensure readability on all other systems would
be to convert the equation to a graphic. If you are using the equation
editor (an assumption, but likely) then select the equation, use 'cut'
(under the edit pulldown) and then 'paste special' (also under the edit
pulldown) to convert it to a PNG graphic.

This graphic should be viewable on all systems, however, it will not be
edit-able.

Most likely the person who created the presentation has used a special
symbol font for equations which is not installed on your computer. Use
Format - Replace Fonts and look for Fonts in the top list box with a
question mark. Those are the fonts the program can't find on your machine.
You have to install them in order to view the equations properly.
