Drag Slide from the Desktop to a Presentation

I can drag slides from presentation to presentation. Is it possible to drag
a slide from the desktop into a presentation? I was unable to do this, but
that may not mean it's impossible. Thank you. I'm suing PP 07 in Windows XP.

This function was disabled in PPT 2007 due to security risks.
It worked in prior versions by saving scrap files.
