anyone know of an addin for Excel that allows or provides for engineering
and or process flow sheet drawing??

Not an addin, but wouldn't Visio or ABC Flowcharter be a better application?

(Do they still make ABC Flowcharter???)

Then maybe you could embed that object into your excel workbook.
