In 97, when you inserted an organization chart, it opened up in its own
window and had a toolbar at the top with subordinate, co-worker, manager,
assistant, and 4 icons for lines. Horizontal/vertical, diagonal, auxiliary,
rectangle.
It is the auxiliary line i was looking for so that i caould select one
object, then another and it would do the corners, like half a rectangle.
Guess they did away this this. Thanks for replying though.

Look for the Connectors. I assume that's what you mean by "auxiliary line."

When you goto (View/Toolbar/Drawing) to bring up the drawing toolbar, you
can
select a basic line, but there is no icon for an Auxiliary Line.
Can you advise please?

It's the same in 2003. Just click on the line tool on your Drawing
toolbar
(View/Toolbar/Drawing).

Is it possible to draw an Auxiliary Line, for an organisation chart,
using
powerpoint 2002? Can't find this option anywhere. You used to be
able to
goto View - Drawing tools in 97, but cannot find this in the 2002
version.
thanks
George
