I meant draw a horizontal line on task entry table

Lynn,

In the 2007 version, you can set a color and a backgroup pattern for the
selected cells in any table:
Format / font / Backgroup color...

i am using project 2003, how can this be done?

You can't draw a line in any version of Project, sorry. However, you could
colour the text for the first task in each phase via Format/Text which could
then use the underlined font as well.

No, in Project 2003 you can only change the color of the font, not the

Idea: create a GIF file of the Gantt chart (using the little camera
icon). Then edit that GIF file with a graphics program. Simplest would
be to import the GIF to PowerPoint and overlay the line where you want.
Other graphics programs also would workd. One advantage of this
approach is that you can put even more information on the Gantt chart,
e.g. some commentary text about the current status of project.
