drop cap

In P2000, I want to centre-align a word where the first
letter is a drop cap. When i click on the centre align
button, the drop cap letter remains over to the left.
What to do?

Drop cap is accomplished with a following tab (like Pagemaker)?

(I don't usually create documents in Publisher, just try to output
them...and I didn't know this)

You can't. Drop caps are designed for the beginning of a paragraph (e.g. in
a magazine) and must be aligned to the left.
