While using a drop-dowm box that is linked to a specific column in a
database, when i'm typing a letter the marker automatically go to the
first object that starts with this letter. My question - is there a way
to type several letter and not just the first letter so the objects
will be filtered while i'm typing?

No - dropdowns only go to the 1st letter and don't do any filtering
